Shelter Support Volunteer

American Red Cross
For years, devastating wildfires have burned across California and other western states. Hundreds of thousands of people have evacuated and more than 7 million acres consumed. American Red Cross volunteers have been there through it all—providing emergency lodging, food and water, relief and clean-up supplies, and emotional support.

Disaster Action Team Member

American Red Cross
Every day people are forced from their home due to fires, storms, and other disasters. Single- and multi-family fires account for 90% of our disaster responses. Compassionate and committed Disaster Action Team volunteers respond day and night to provide help and hope, including emotional support and financial assistance for food, clothing, and temporary lodging.
