KGET: Local non-profit food pantry celebrating anniversary with donation drive

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Blessing Box, a food pantry open 24/7, is celebrating its one-year anniversary.

The Blessing Box, located at the corner of Real Road and Stockdale Highway, was established when founders Kyle and Carol O’Connor saw a need to support homeless and disadvantaged. During the past year, it has become a meeting place for individuals to give and receive care in our community.

In honor of the anniversary, the Blessing Box is partnering with the United Way ReGIVE program, and hosting an information fair and donation drive this weekend.
