
United Way of Kern County distributing 60,000 meals throughout the month of June
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The United Way of Kern County is kicking off a food distribution this week to help the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They will be distributing 60,000 meals in 30 days to people affected by COVID-19 including essential workers.
Dinners will be served Tuesday through Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday brunch at 10 a.m.
The meals will be distributed in the back parking lot at the Bakersfield Marriott on 801 Truxtun Ave.
You can also be a part of this project by volunteering or making a $20 contribution to feed a family of five.
