United Way


on Saturday, October 31, 2020 - United Way of Kern County will host a FREE Family Fall Fest Drive-Thru Event.  We will be giving out new books, resource information, fun, and of course, candy.
The event is from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the United Way Parking Lot on 5405 Stockdale Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93309.
Children must be present to receive a book and candy.

Prizes will be given out to the best-decorated vehicle and costume.

All participants must wear a mask.

UWKC is accepting funds through our continued HelpKern.org campaign to provide books and other resource information for our local children.

  1. Donate new books and prizes

Communities throughout Kern County can donate new: books and prize baskets, certificates, etc. at the United Way of Kern County office, located at 5405 Stockdale Hwy, Suite 200, Bakersfield, CA 93309, Monday-Friday between 9 am-5 pm until October 28th, 2020.


  1. Become a Sponsor

You can designate United Way of Kern County as your nonprofit sponsor recipient in helping provide new books to the kids in our community. For more information contact Rachel Hoetker at rachel.h@uwkern.org

As we continue our mission to reach affected individuals during this time, we have utilized our HELPKERN.org campaign to partner with individuals and organizations who are willing to make a difference in our community



Your donation will help children receive new books during the Drive-Thru Event.
For every $25 donation, we can provide 5 children with new books, resource materials, and candy.
