Advisory Board

Local experts volunteer their time and talents year round through United Way’s four Focus Teams.  Members who serve on one of the focus teams meet regularly to discuss issues like community needs, fund raising efforts and marketing.  Focus Team volunteers then develop strategies and help United Way carry out plans that will help us accomplish our mission of improving people’s lives and the community by mobilizing and integrating resources for health and human service needs in Kern County.

• Assess community needs
• Distribute the funding with a focus on outcomes
