United Way of Kern County recognizes the
importance of protecting information we may collect from visitors to our
site. Our policy is to use the information we acquire from visitors to our
sites for internal purposes only, and we maintain appropriate security

where your personal credit card or bank account information is required.
This means that the personal credit card or online check information you
submit for payment via VeriSign’s secure site is encrypted by your
computer, and then decrypted at VeriSign's secure site, discouraging
others from accessing your private information during transmission. Please

United Way of Kern County will accept personal and
business checks for donations, payments and prepay orders. Allow for 10
business days for clearing on top of delivery time of check to our
business. You may also mail in certified checks, money orders, and
cashier’s checks for donations or payments.
